August 24, 2020 - Still a lot of powerful fruit here.
30 minute decant. Clear, medium garnet, significant meniscus, high viscosity.
Cherry, blackberry and plum on the nose, along with licorice, anise and strong vanilla. Palate confirms the fruit and adds raspberry notes. Strong vanilla and coffee on the palate - and quite intense.
Dry, full bodied, medium acidity, 14+ on alcohol, fine but medium high tannins with Med+ length and complexity.
This still has a ways to go.

September 20, 2019 - Consistent with previous bottles. Nice fruit profile without being an over-extracted, jammy fruit bomb. Spicy finish with some heat, not surprising given the 14.75% alc. Lots of sediment.

June 2, 2019 - Red licorice, cinnamon, spice and everything nice. Well-balanced and not overly-extracted, not a fruit or alcohol bomb, but not timid, either.
WAY Too young, my rating is based on opening it yesterday and while after 4 hours breathing it was just on the verge of excellent (90-93), it was clear another year or two would have resulted in a better wine, with a higher rating.
