October 16, 2020 - Color, clear copperish red; 1st nose, spices and leather; 2nd nose, more spice and earth; on the palate, smooth medium body with good balance of fruits and acidity. Medium finish.

September 22, 2013 - Drinking very well right now. Well integrated fruit with real hints of minerality. Smooth silk finish. Has enough depth to last a few more years.

  • Sakswine Does not like this wine:

March 25, 2013 - Split decision on this one. I thought it was just on the edge of a floral vinegar. My husband thought it wasn't too bad. Not my kind of wine.

November 24, 2012 - Oh, so much better than my previous bottle. This bottle was drinking pretty young, but with well integrated tannins. Beautiful dark cherry red color. Not a big nose but explosive on the tongue. Delicious!

December 3, 2011 - Opened and immediately poured a glass. The nose was pretty musty so I let it sit. The mustiness gradually blew off. The wine is medium bodied with the typical brownish red color of Piedmont. The flavors are past their peak (compared to the last few reviews) with no bright fruit flavors. Bottle was not flawed but past its peak. We drank most and put some in the fridge for tomorrow.
