December 31, 2023 - This is glorious right now. Really deep and complex nose, velvety on the palate, minutes-long finish. Sous-bois, berry notes, cherries, touch of iodine, very special. Dark purple with a garnet rim. 2 left, probably near its peak. 3 hr decant, no sediment, faded a little after 6 hrs but the nose was still there.

December 23, 2023 - Drank at our Xmen Spanish wine dinner, alongside a 1995 and 2006. This wine was clearly the youngest and most modern-style of the 3 Prados opened on this night. Nose generously exudes black cherries, vanilla and tobacco. Lots of black fruit on the palate, along with tobacco and spice. Tannins are a bit course and gritty. Finish is fairly long but a bit harsh. This wine needs to be decanted (which ours was not) if consumed now, and certainly could use some additional bottle age to fully appreciate it.
