June 4, 2023 - .
January 14, 2023 - Very cherry, smooth and rich. Still good tannins and acidity on the back end.
June 8, 2022 - Dark but not cloudy. Forest, plum and spice nose. Medium bodied, with an immediate hit of pure cherry/black cherry flavors, mild pepper, baking spices, supportive tannins, and a long, long finish. This has moved to a terrific place.
August 2, 2019 - Cloudy magenta with a fair amount of sediment. Blueberry pie, cedar, and spice nose. Medium to full bodied, blackberries, sage, black cherries, soft grainy tannins, smoke, good acid, and a beautiful long finish. Plenty of life left in this one, as expected.
June 18, 2019 - Love Peter's Syrah. Refer to my earlier comments. Very balance and complete Syrah!!
February 26, 2019 - Deep, plummy, and floral immediately on opening. The cracked pepper wasn't far behind. Palate is meaty and savoury with a peppercorn and plum finish. Delicious!
October 19, 2018 - Really good. Balanced tannins, fruit, and meatiness. Not sure this will benefit with additional age but it's drinking well right now. Double decanted, some sediment, and gave it about an hour to open up before pouring with dinner. Paired well with grilled burgers, Italian sausage, jalapeƱo poppers, and potatoes.
February 20, 2018 - Quite good. The meaty quality has increased since the last bottle and it's settling into a nice phase.
December 26, 2017 - Drinking like a champ for a cruddy year in Sonoma. A bit astringent but had a great fruit and peppery profile a big slice of prime rib. A have a couple left and I'm not sure to hold or drink at this point.
March 14, 2017 - Yum. Initially it was overly smooth and simple, but with air the aromas and tannins sprang back to life. Purple fruit, cracked pepper, hints of iron/blood, herbs, and earth. Dark flavours, nice balance. This is delicious with about 60 minutes of air.
