April 18, 2024 - Drinking Perfectly Within It's Window Now, with zero rush and no end in sight!
Complex, chewy, and silky. Beautiful bottle. Decanted for 2.5 hours
April 6, 2024 - Disappointing bottle that was likely at the end of its drinking window. Rough fruit that was indistinguishable from jug wines.
March 24, 2024 - Showing well now
November 26, 2022 - Delicious. Right in the window to drink!
October 31, 2022 - Amazing really opened up after about an hour of decant. Finish the rest on these two and three did it started to fade by day three but was still decent day to was very strong dark purple Inc. classic Alexander Valley full-bodied Cabernet would highly recommend. Mineral tea earthiness Integrated tannins present but not too strong long finish
August 11, 2022 - Forgettable Sonoma County cab from the Mayacamas Mountains in Alexander Valley. Library release from the winery for a wine dinner hosted by Jackson Family Wines and their MW Mollie Battenhouse (who is really good).
July 29, 2022 - WIML92
Tasted non blind.
Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of cassis, white flowers, plums, cherries and raspberries. Flavors of raspberries, plums and cherries. Medium acidity, medium tannin, full bodied. Drink over the short to perhaps medium term.
December 5, 2021 - Found a bottle in my cellar I had not logged. Really good, getting some age on it, dark fruit, tobacco, cigar. Still has a few more years in it. Enjoyable.
March 6, 2021 - Very nice medium body cabernet (14.5%). Nicely balanced blackberry and blueberry fruit with a touch of cinnamon and caramel. Very very long finish with minerality.
June 11, 2020 - Deep red big body wine. Very slow to open up. Limited nose and OK but not memorable fruit. Several days later I drank the other half of the bottle that had been kept in a sealed wine carafe. The wine had gotten better. However, both times the wine did not meet expectations.
