January 3, 2023 - Strong dark fruit (blueberry, blackberry), spice, slight earth. Good acidity. Bright. Lingering finish. Really enjoyable
November 12, 2021 - I'm embarrassed that this is the closest thing I have to an Italian wine, other than M. E. Dolectto and Barbera. Fits the bill for pizza, though. Nice fruit, good spicy character, tannins have smoothed out. A good quaffer.
August 28, 2021 - Nice, round, rich. Dark fruit. Probably a bit past its prime. Soft fruit. Very nice.

October 6, 2019 - Flavors of blackberry, black cherry & black pepper stood up to a hearty tagliatelle bolognese. Worth cellaring until now to taste this delicious pairing.
July 22, 2019 - A refined primitivo with flavors of strawberry and red cherries. Paired well with Turkish flavors: eggplant stuffed with ground lamb flavored with ras al hanout, extra cinnamon and pasilla peppers.
May 11, 2019 - Ridge Monte Bello Tasting (Ridge Monte Bello, Cupertino): Complex, interesting nose; palate is good but less complex than the nose. A solid zinfandel, and a good Ridge. Very drinkable. 88
