February 22, 2024 - Ripe fruit, with a hint of raisining. Tannins completely resolved, giving sophisticated texture. Shot through with minerals. Savory. Needs red meat to shine.

April 1, 2023 - A good night for Faugere - damp and misty. Still quite a deep color. Bright nose. Floral. Red fruits on the palate with some herbal notes adding complexity. Some garrigue and distinct iron / metallic /red earth notes. Medium plus weight - maybe a little less. Quite strict tannin. Not compelling length. Certainly no excess generosity or easy sweetness here - maybe even a little lean. That is the influence of the vintage I think. There is an appealing rawness to it. Some funk showed up after a couple of hours. Unmistakably from the deep south of France. Needs food. Bought on release. Ready.

August 25, 2019 - Airy nose of pepper & iron. Elegant attack, lean and chewy body with more pepper, iodine, sour cherry, "blood". Somewhat rustic but ripe tannins. All elements in a good place, seems like a good age to drink right now. Santé!

March 23, 2018 - Vivid nose of perfumed flowers and red berries. Rich and clean on the palate with a woven tannic acid base. Lovely with lentil soup and garden salad.
