December 20, 2020 - Incredible bright, sharp yet subdued. Fragrant chardonnay with an admirable purity in fruit. (reminiscent of the old-world for its lack of oak). Very impressive showing for this Lucia chard. In a fantastic spot, I'd drink these by 2024.

November 12, 2017 - This rich and layered Chardonnay is drinking beautifully right now. Light yellow in color, medium in body, nose of lemon rind and ocean air. Tastes of orange peel, quince, grapefruit, and flint, with a lovely, almost chalky finish. 14.1% alcohol. I think this will be better in a year, but the exuberance and complexity of the fruit is quite charming.

On the second day, this takes on a fuller profile that is lovely - more lemon curd than lemon rind, more almond than stone. In this process, this became a dead-ringer for a Martinelli or DuMOL, producers that perhaps aren't at the very top of the heap in northern CA (e.g., Peter Michael, Aubert), but offer very solid Chardonnays. Probably a 93-94, but I'll err on the higher side because - at a time when most decent Chardonnays have become $70 or higher - this one comes it at $50.

November 16, 2016 - Lovely wine, rich and complex yet light and lively. Really well-balanced California Chardonnay with perfect oak integration. Impressed at how well this is drinking already.
