February 5, 2023 - Second time I have had this wine. Mataro/Mouvedre is 60% of the blend Grenache and Carignan making up the rest. The grapes are sourced from vines planted between 1888 and 1922. Medium pink color. Loaded with strawberries. Perhaps even better than the last time I had it. 92 points.
December 14, 2022 - Still drinking beautifully. The fruit has mostly subsided, but plenty of acidity.
September 5, 2019 - Solid yet uninspiring
May 24, 2018 - Decent attempt at a Bandol rosé. Hard to simulate from CA fruit. Missing some vibrancy.
September 16, 2017 - 9/16/2017 SPC Class WK3: California: Medium salmon color, moderate-weak aromas of lemon and tart cherry. Off-dry, with light body and lively acidity. On the palette, sour grapefruit. A little tart on acidity and flavor.
September 7, 2017 - Opened at the CDP by LostVerse. Wonderful Rose. Perfumey nose. Bright fruit. Good body. 92 points.
June 18, 2017 - This has changed quite a bit over the last year- the fruit has almost completely left but the floral and mineral notes that remain are still very pleasant. Overall I'd drink this summer and will write a more detailed note for my next bottle.
June 18, 2017 - Wow, a totally different animal from last year. Has emerged into a fairly special rosé. Last year i said bland and muddled. This time much more precise, focused, and balanced. Backbone of rose hip acidity and minerals singing together. A propulsive energy that makes the bottle disappear very quickly.
June 14, 2017 - Crisp and fresh with slight strawberry, minerality and bite
June 3, 2017 - My second and last bottle...both enjoyed within a week of each other. It was excellent. See previous notes that refer to what ACohen wrote. Perfect synopsis of this wine. Trying to clear through my Rose collection now that summer has started.
