May 27, 2023 - Really quite nice (had a .375 bottle). Smooth, went wonderfully with the filet mignon I had. Would recommend it.

June 27, 2021 - One the nose, perfumed red berries. Dark red appearance, garnet at the rim. On the palate, after half and hour it was red berries, blackcurrant, leather and a little spice but perhaps a little disjointed. After being open for a couple of hours the spice subsided, it become more integrated, smooth and balanced and a cool minty note appeared on the finish.

February 4, 2019 - Weekly tasting group RWP #319; 4 random flights of 3 wines (@ BS): Sweet spices, some mint, ripe red berries and vanilla in the bouquet. On the palate red berries and cherries, herbs, bell pepper, good acidity and sticky tannin. Overall an elegant, well structured wine with still a future of at least 3+ years. 88+ for tonight.

April 23, 2018 - Had at The Grill NYC. Nice. A little thin so I think this is slightly past it’s prime. Still good though. Lots of secondary flavours, leather for sure. Earthy scent, lots of grass and dust. Quite a bit of sediment so make sure to leave a little more room than you generally would. Drink up and enjoy. 87

June 4, 2017 - Color is a deep brick red that is just beginning to show thinning to orange at the very edge. Pop and pour bottle. At first the nose is all fruit, especially red fruit, and very new world in feel. Body is thin at first taste. After roughly thirty minutes, the nose start to show a little forest floor, spice (unidentified) and a faint note of what I think is cooked mushrooms. Tannins are nicely rounded but present. The body must be fading some because I mark this as medium at best. Finish is long and packed with fresh berry fruit. This wine isn't gone yet but seems to be at the tail end of its prime. I'd suggest drinking sooner than later so you can still catch it in its "prime". For the price, stellar bottle!

December 30, 2016 - Excellent "value" Marguax. Deep garnet on the glass. Nice legs. Chocolate, vanilla, hint of tobacco / smokey nose. Medium bodied (not thin) taste with berries, chocolate vanilla and and some ash. A little bitter on the finish. Very pleasant overall. Enjoyed with Lamb chops, haricots verte and Hasselback potatoes. Wonderful

June 19, 2016 - A disagreeable cork had to be pushed in and then decanted. Drank immediately. Light raspberry on the nose. Light, not watery. A quick burst of red, juicy fruit followed by elongated, drying tannins through the finish. Eminently drinkable and surprisingly held its own vs a grilled strip steak and fresh vegetables.

April 29, 2016 - Excellent Margaux, apporté au resto ''Margaux'', encore jeune et solide et qui tiendra au moins 5 ans sans souci. Beau nez et large bouche de poivron mûr et de cassis, si typiques des vins de cette region.
