  November 5, 2023 - In really good shape. Cleaning through the collection and found this and figured I was past peak, but the color was still deep ruby and the nose had plenty of primary fruits left of black and red currant and dark cherry along with note of graphite, dried florals and cedar. Still plenty left in the palate as well with medium tannins and medium plus, robust body. This was my only bottle, but if I had more, I would feel comfortable drinking this over the next few years.

  November 4, 2017 - Had at Quality Italian in NYC - blend of cabernet, merlot & petit. Earthy nose, dark fruit flavor, medium bodied. The wine needed a little air, second bottle was immediately decanted after the first was PnP'd. Good value selection off the wine list.

  June 1, 2017 - Dark berries, old glove leather, licorice, pencil shavings. Palate is expansive & silky. Ripe tannins frame the earthy wine at the edges. Blueberry, cassis.

  February 20, 2016 - Bricco's 10 year Anniversay Dinner (Bricco): It is a producer I had never heard of before. I am glad I was introduced to it.
  Big nose of dark fruit and herbs.
  Much richer than many Super Tuscans, it had a little new world going on. But it was an Italian wine at its core. Fully intergrated tannins with the necessary acidity to cut through the richness of the pork belly.
  Dark fruit with all sort of herb layers (rosemary was the one that left the biggest impression). Long and silky finish
  Of all the wines served, this was probably at it's absolute perfect spot.
  I will look for this producer in the future.
