November 7, 2021 - Dark ruby and purple in colour, with a nice nose with a mix of red and black fruit, and an earthy note. The palate is medium bodied, again with a mix of more red (dark cherry) than black fruit (boysenberry), with a nice purity (and a bit of spice) to the fruit and a velvety texture. Very slight tannins now. Dare I say its a bit pinot like, but mainly it's a comfortable, charming, cozy up around the fire kind of wine. Drinking well now, but no rush (A-).

    November 22, 2017 - Better over time. 12.5% ABV.
    87-88
Update: drinking well three days later, after having been stored in the fridge, vacuum corked. Flavora of sour cherries, ripe cranberries, hibiscus flowers, and tart rosehips, with additional notes of old foudres on the backpalate. Finishes dry, with good concentration. Hold till 2019. 88+

March 6, 2017 - P&p; best with 30+ minutes of air in the bottle. Pretty, floral, leafy, sappy/tarry, delicately spicy aromas, overlaying barely ripe mixed berries with their seeds. Similar flavors but with somewhat friendlier, juicy fruit; good fresh acidity; quite tasty/moreish. Weightless, highly drinkable. Good stuff.

November 23, 2016 - Decanted 1 hour, consume varies glasses over 4 days. Day 1, med (-) body, med (-) length finish, bit of fruit, lots of tartness, but wine is shut down. By Day 4, its best showing, lots of red fruits, wine is crisp, a little savory, med tannin, finish is med. C$30 tax in, a wine that I would revisit.

October 10, 2016 - Monday Night Blinds - Michael and Ousi (Home (Noe st)): (non-blind)
    Clear and bright.
    Med - concentration, vibrant ruby
Red fruit - ripe fruit - slightly confected - maybe a touch of whole cluster.
    Ripe red cherry. Cherry liqueur.
    Fresh red flowers.
    Reductive - slight rubber.
    Slight earthy mushroom as well.

    Palate:
    Dry
    medium body
    medium plus alcohol - 13.5% (12.5%)
    medium plus acid
    medium tannins
    (classic red burgundy structure)
    No sign of oak
Tart red cherry - slightly confected (hint of candy). Slightly savory sweetness to the confected quality of this.
    Some mineral aspects on this.
    No new wood.

This is great stuff - a little reductive now, but very lovely and exuberant.
