May 3, 2020 - Surprisingly young and fresh, razor sharp and super aromatic. Very impressive at 25 years!

November 21, 2019 - Old White Burgundy at Wine Watch (Ft. Lauderdale, Florida): Very well preserved Leflaive Premier Cru at almost a quarter century. Light gold. Pungent and funky. Concentrated and distinctive. Very Chassagne in profile even though it is Puligny. I liked it more than K and most of the others though.

July 13, 2018 - Direct from the Domaine and shockingly good. Fresh, and deep, with a beautiful texture of crushed fruit and subtle minerals. Deeper blood orange and stone fruit tones mingle with a still fresh lemon cream.

September 30, 2016 - A quite flat bottle. Hints of dry citrus and a bit of oyster shell, but fading acidity.

July 30, 2016 - Medium golden yellow in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of mature & developed ripe fruit aromas of apples & citrus notes of lemons & limes, with buttery/butterscotch/caramel overtones, some floral notes of honeysuckle, stony/minerals, toasty oak & a hint of almonds. Medium bodied with a good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, mature & developed, unctuous, ripe fruit flavors of apples, peaches, lemons & limes with stony/minerals, buttery & a touch of toasted oak. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present & is at or past its peak of development depending on storage conditions, so drink up soon.

September 20, 2014 - This was really singing tonight. Popped and poured and immediately the floral nose was washing out of the glass, you could smell it from a distance. Beautiful fruit, acidity and oak integration. This was not quite as good as the 1996 Pucelles we had earlier this year but wow this was impressive. Real treat if you have not had mature white burg. Paired great with scallops and creamy escargot!

November 1, 2012 - The 03 Bordeaux dinner at RIS in DC (RIS Restaurant, Washington DC): Fully matured, as usual light caramel, vanilla, yellow fruits, and a hint of mint. Round palate, slightly lacking acidity, full body and good finish. Towards to the middle to end of the drinking peak. I prefer the 95 Folatieres or pucelles. It gets fresher with about an hour of air.

June 20, 2011 - Pleasanrt surprise- NOT OXIDIZED. Very good; no bitterness. Nice nose and drinking pretty well. A bit old for me, but mellow and complex. Acid is faint.

April 14, 2011 - Clean yellow, mineral nutty nose, crisp straight acidic backbone that developed a nice honeyed lemon as it say at table
Very nice bottle with good life left
