October 10, 2019 - This is one of the better Ridge Chardonnays I've had recently. The oak has mellowed a bit to just a layer of dry cedar and dill on top of the creamy chardonnay fruit which alternates between citrus and mango. There's also bit of chalky minerality to add interest.

August 2, 2019 - What a let down. Oak oak and more oak. Acidity is nice. Oak first. Acidity second. Maybe some Chardonnay third? Can someone teach these California wine makers to stop relying on oak for wine—the California (and especially ridge) fruit is delicious enough. And for $50 it’s just more cost effective and pleasurable to go white burgundy. *sigh*

July 28, 2019 - Perfect summer chard. Absolutely crisp and delicious for a hot evening bbq with grilled yellowtail and scallops (wrapped in bacon).

July 26, 2019 - The overwhelming skunk in this wine has toned down significantly since January. Now I get it as oak, too much oak, but not Brett, with sour apple and molasses too.

    July 23, 2019 - Rar visiting!

    Yellow hay colered.
    Lemon butter, stone fruit,
Dry, good acidity, medium finish. Tastes like the nose. Yellow apple. Steely. Hint of pine needles (which disappeared) High ABV

Decent wine but was shockingly different following the first bubble that preceded this bottle. After a couple sips it was fine.
