January 29, 2024 - Not as good as last year. Drink up.
August 16, 2023 - Started off rich, full bodied, and lemony, but after @ three hours - with half a bottle left- this was showing some surprising oxidative notes. Disappointing.
March 28, 2023 - Big, rich, creamy, and tasty. On day two, alcohol stood out more.
February 26, 2023 - Still drinking wonderfully.
July 9, 2022 - Big rich but with structure. Begining to turn now, oxidative caramel takes away the freshness. Lemon, charred peach.
Wonderful depth. Long, complex. Drink now.
April 15, 2022 - Deep gold, burgundy like, mineral, almonds, peach, extremely yummy with an ouly texture, acidity is spot on, oustanding US chard!
July 31, 2021 - What an outstanding bottle of wine. Had a remarkable layer of flavors - apple, peach, berry. It was balanced by a perfectly balanced acidity which made it neither too sweet or too sour. This was one of the best bottles of Chardonnay we’ve ever tasted. Had with summer squash casserole.
April 3, 2021 - popped and poured. Drank over the next hour. This is at a very good place. Good rich fruit and balance. Ready to drink now and should hold up well for at least 5 more years.
May 21, 2020 - Rich and fresh. Medium plus body and long finish.
February 15, 2020 - Buttery, slightly oily nose. Not overly precise, grassy with restrained citric fruit initially. Light-handed deployment of oak that adds nice smoky and light wooden notes to the bouquet. Very fresh acidity, at the upper end of what I would still consider pleasant, but works great when paired with food (Japanese soba noodles salad, in this case). Having said that, improved considerably after a few hours to an amazing, beguiling nose with fine toast and well integrated fruit. Not quite on the level of the 2013, but not that far off either! Next bottle I will decant for up to 1h.
