November 9, 2020 - Almost bitter the first day. Opened up nicely on day two... nose of chocolate covered cherries. Palate is similar. Light. Everyday drinker.

The wine looks violet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like red currant and mineral. It tastes like black pepper and dust. The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity. -

May 19, 2017 - {Winery visit} Something of a guilty pleasure for me, which is another way of saying the other 95% of the wine-drinking world would love this - right here, right now. For my tastes, the creamy oak is just a little too pronounced. That said, the quality of the fruit underneath is just lovely. They are making/growing a more Burgundian style of Aglianico here, whether they are trying to or not, and it's succeeding. If a steakhouse has just 5 offerings from the rest of the world besides CA, this should be one of them. 13,5% abv. recommended+
It's only going to get better from here...and it's already quite good.
