April 14, 2024 - Beautiful bouquet with dark berries, eucalyptus and vanilla. Same on the palate, licorice, some sweetness, beautiful acidity and round tannin. A great pleasure now and without any doubt over the next 5+ years.
January 21, 2024 - Tart, not a great bottle. 4 left, let's hope this is an isolated occurrence.
January 20, 2024 - Elegant, complex, and well balanced wine. Dark fruit, leather, coffee, vanilla, and herbal notes. Acidity, alcohol, and fine grained tannins all in harmony. Very nice wine. Wish I had more.
December 31, 2023 - Beautiful wine in its young maturity stage. A beautiful combination of dark berries, licorice, some smoke and vanilla, good acidity and round tannin. Was a great and full bodied pleasure over two days. Very nice to drink now. Will definitely drink lovely over the next 3 – 7 years, but no reason to wait much longer.
November 30, 2023 - Drinking really well now. Lots of fruit on nose and palate and great balance on acidity and tannins. Nothing tertiary over this at all so no rush to finish at all
November 9, 2023 - Opened and poured a glass about two hours prior to consumption. Opaque and dense color with no bricking. Aromatically pleasing with a rich red currant, damp earth and brush, and orange rind that are primary with more subtle incense, leather, and dried herbs. On the palate the attack presents cashmere tannins with tart red currant and orange peel being supported by good acidic lift. In the mid-palate this pivots to a pasty tart blackberry with a deft touch of iron and tobacco leaf. The finish was a little hollow with a trace of heat that shaved the overall pleasure ever so slightly.
Overall a quality wine with a well rounded appeal that can be consumed now through 2030+.
Day 2 - Remains well rounded where the cashmere tannins balance the sweet fruit. It retains a vibrancy that keeps this fresh and rich.
September 23, 2023 - This is drinking really well, a juicy and large wine that now has some interesting tertiary notes creeping in. It doesn’t have much of a sense of place, and blind I would pick it as a decent mid range Napa Cab (which would be $10-20 more expensive).
Primary flavors are concentrated and juicy black fruits with prominent American oak (vanilla etc). Some chocolate, some leather. Decent acid and length. Pairs well with food.
September 9, 2023 - Chocolat, fruits noir et bleut. Pas trop intense (style confiture). Juste parfais. Très beau vin.
January 17, 2023 - Beautiful and full bodied wine with dark berries, leather and beautiful oak. Same on the palate; slightly sweet dark berries in the start, leather and chocolate, beautiful acidity and round tannin. Good length. Beautiful wine in its early maturity stage. Can easily last until 2026+

In de neus ijzer, kers, vanille, boersig, braam, bessen. Mond: kers, koffie, tabak, power & elegantie. Toast, ceder. Mooie tannines. Al op leeftijd, maar echt nog potentie!
