February 24, 2024 - In a very nice place already, maybe still 1-2 years young but opened nicely. Great acidity, fine tannin, flavors started fresh and got deeper. Not the most complex Brunello probably due to the vintage, but very enjoyable.

August 12, 2023 - Slightly sour cherries with some earthy notes, plenty of remaining structure, but a little short and unexciting.

July 28, 2023 - Nice nose but a little sour in the finish. Expensive for the quality. Prefer the Castel Giocondo by Frescobaldi, for example.

July 5, 2023 - Out of a 375 bottle. Slow oxed for 7-8 hours then into a decanter. About an hour on I poured a small glass. Nice clear crimson color. Nose is still reticent. A hint of sour berries and crunchy cranberries vanilla bean faint strawberries maybe licorice and an tiney end note. Acids is still high but I forgive that as it’s only 11 years old. You can sense the quality but is just a baby that needs another 7-10 years to develop. I’ve tasted a few of my ‘13 and I think these are wines that are not packed with material but I think will turn out to be excellent over time. Not bruises but will charm you with finesse. Glad to have many more of this wine and vintage.

June 30, 2023 - Tired, slightly rasin. Ruby core and not really brownish but taste older than 10 years. Well cellard so I’m hoping the lot wasn’t damaged.

June 30, 2023 - A very Nice balance - clearly an improvement to my last two bortled. The fruit is cherries, red currant and hints of strawberries - medium acidity and tannins - a bit more dominant - also getting some stable and some learher - the Wine has clearly improved and I am happy to improve my rating to 93.

February 26, 2023 - Lovely Fruit forward tamarind/dark cherry upfront then hints of licorice with a soft nutty finish decanted - very good after 10-15 minutes ourstanding after an hour. Definite buy again. Bought a few bottles in a wine cave in Montalcino. Best wine buying experience ever. Overpaid a bit but totally worth it. Bought some of the 2015 at JJB. Hope it’s as good as this.

February 10, 2023 - Opened to breathe for an hour, which really improved the presentation. Beautiful nose of vanilla, berries, and woodsy notes, the palate is a smooth progression of bright red fruit, more woodsiness, black pepper, acid and tannins in the long finish. Consistent with my previous notes, this wine is open for business! Tonight with beef brisket.

November 5, 2022 - Tasted again after 4 years. Has aged nicely. Purple/brown translucent hue, soft aroma. Big first Brunello burst - red cherries and dark fruits strong but them finishing smoothly into oak, leather, hint of vanilla and nice pucker medium linger. Finish has really deepened over 4 years resulting in it drinking well.

July 17, 2022 - Opened to breathe for 1-2h. Fragrant nose of leather, vanilla, coffee, oak, hints of fruit compote. On the palate, abundant red cherries, mineral, earthiness, faint chewy tannins, and a long acid finish. Excellent! Tonight with shrimp and Thai red curry.

Pumped down overnight, and enjoyed on day 2, delicious! 92/93
