September 1, 2019 - Deep cherry red and nearly transparent rim. Soy sauce, blueberry and berries on the nose, with a little heat sticking through. This is such a big and tasty wine. On day three I find cran-apple brought on by bright acidity, blackberry pie to sweeten the mix and aroma of herbs d'provence and some salinity. Currently showing woody tannins that help to prolong the evolving finish.

January 10, 2019 - Decanted for an hour. Lovely combination of star jasmine, wet stone, and fruit (plum?) on the nose. Mouth-watering pepper and cola + layered raspberry/plum/light tar on the palate. Not overly rich in a mouth-coating way, but very satisfying, with a nice, long and smooth finish. One of those “I wish I had a couple of cases of this” wine. Gorgeous.

August 1, 2017 - This is gone from my cellar. I love it so that doesn't surprise me. But it's gone and I'm sad.

May 5, 2017 - Drank with Black Bear Syrah from 11, 12 and 13 and was my favorite. A bit thicker and grainy with deeper olive and licorice notes. Has plenty of good years left.

July 14, 2016 - Beautiful and floral but also a deep herbal and meaty note. Firm tannin structure surely will reward a few more years.
