  September 13, 2023 - Nose of sour cherry, black raspberry, red currants and candied apple. Slight hints of bacon fat, leather and spice. It was bright, cheerful and appealing.
  
  The pallet had lots of red fruit. Cherry, red raspberry and dark chocolate.
  
  Grippy sweet and chewy tannins. Smooth velvety texture. Very long finish with a peppery ending. The alcohol was a bit hot and could use more time in the bottle or a longer decant. Lots of life left in this wine and it could take another 5 years to peak.

  May 13, 2023 - Opened a 1.5 L about two hours before heading to Morton's Steakhouse for dinner with friends to celebrate our wedding anniversaries. It did not disappoint. A lovely rich and lingering finish. This wine is in a pretty sweet spot right now for consumption.

  November 18, 2022 - Decanted for an hour. Really enjoyed this wine. Easy drinking with flavors of dark fruit and a long finish.

  May 28, 2022 - Amazing. Decanted for 40 minutes beforehand and really mellowed it out. Very strong fruit nose and taste. Well balanced and medium bodied. Just a really great drinking wine. Drank when Jack and Alex came over for MDW.

  April 14, 2022 - Gift of Partial Bottle - 2% Petite Verdot - 14.7% abv
  
  Received (another) partial bottle from my Oenophile neighbor. We have a symbiotic relationship; I give him a 2020 Daou (Paso Robles) Cabernet Sauvignon (that he says he's been eying), and get a vintage rarity to sample in return. As I mentioned before, he is the only one in his household that inbibes, so will give me partial bottles to try (rather than let them oxidize and spoil). He has significantly upgraded my taste in wines (and cost), since I have been able to try such wines as Carlisle Zins, Hall (CA) Cabs, Williams-Selyem and Kosta Browne Pinots.
  
  Dark Purplish Red on the pour. Red fruit on the nose (Cherry, Blackberry & Cassis) carrying over to the full-bodied palate. Intense flavor with a full, round, mouth-feel. Soft and supple tannins for exceptional smoothness. Moderate acidity, lovely, lingering finish. An Elegant wine.
