October 4, 2023 - The Gruner provides a strong lime and citrus line. Hints of kerosene. Good acidity, drink now.

August 4, 2018 - Ripe citrus fruit, tight, white pepper notes, mineral with rubbery notes from the Riesling. In the palate the wine shows the same profile, medium to high acidity, tight, medium body and finish. I have to say though that it is highly priced

May 24, 2016 - Burn Cottage and Charteris dinner (Hughenden hotel): Peach, lime, floral top notes, also medicinal herbs…in the mouth apple and peach fruit, apple skin bitterness, mid-palate burr. Pleasant enough in a fruit driven way but in no way justifies the price tag of $94 AUD.

March 10, 2016 - Wine Maker's Dinner: Burn Cottage and Valli Vineyards (Ostro Brasserie and Bar, Auckland, New Zealand): Tight, herbal and fragrant. Tonight, the Gruner Veltliner appears to be the dominant grape in this blend, although the Riesling does add to the mid and back end of the palate, in terms of a certain suave texture. Impeccable wine making and very mineral. The first vintage of this wine.
