May 8, 2024 - Green yellow in the glass. Very floral nose with orchard fruits and some vanilla. Round, slightly buttery in a pleasant way, with great acidity and minerals followed by beautiful orchard fruits, mangos, dried flowers, barrel spice, and a pleasantly-oaky ending. Truly excellent and reaching maturity now, so in a great spot. Will seek out more!

April 11, 2024 - In a very good spot. Big and bold fruit flavors in a delicious dense style. Clearly guessed Chardonnay blind and while some bigger oak flavors noted, very enjoyable with no signs of oxidation.

January 15, 2024 - Pop and pour. This pours a little hazy in the glass, with a slight green tint. Nose has tropical fruits and a hint of oak. Palate is similar with lime, apples and florals prominent. Lingering finish. Lovely.

January 7, 2024 - Very pale, next to no signs of ageing.
Nose leaps out of the glass- incredibly powerful. Spicy, tropical notes, faint oak. Young pineapple, almond, fennel, pear.
Palate follows, super intense, mouth filling and trails on for ever.
Oak slightly more apparent on the palate than nose, but not overbearing.
A world class chardonnay treads the line between power and elegance perfectly! These wines seem to get better with each vintage, slightly more refined, incredible stuff.

January 6, 2024 - $100+ vs 3.0: I love the pale green color. This bottle was consistent with many Leeuwins I've had, with lime being prominent. There is also a wonderful minerality and almost saline quality that is reminiscent of Chablis. The palate is a bit full-bodied.

January 6, 2024 - $100+ Tasting (Liz's House): Leeuwin Art Series always shows well. I think the top Australian Chardonnay. Nose showed some petrol initially, that blew off with extended time in the glass, giving way to white flowers and lime zest with a little spice. Palate was quite nice, showing some lively fruit (mostly citrus and green apple, with notes of pear) along with spice and sweet toasty oak.

Still quite young and lively, so no hurry to drink, but not in a bad spot now if you want to open one! 93+ to 94 for me, and very enjoyable, as always!

January 6, 2024 - Liz's Annual $100 Plus Tasting (Minneapolis, MN): Love this winery. Amazing showing and one of my top 3 wines tonight. Sour apple, Carmel, mild oak, white flowers, minerals and spice. Medium finish and good acidity. In a great place right now.

October 6, 2023 - Very little on the nose. Nice round palette with more fruit and citrus than I expected.

September 15, 2023 - Pale, youthful color. Bright, soft and captivating. Has body and acidity with citrus and melon notes. This has integrated well, but should still have a long life ahead.
