June 11, 2023 - Like @Sanlucar's note, the wine presented with a bit of sweetness, althought perhaps I am confusing this with richness? On the nose the herbal notes receded quickly for me, perhaps due to the 1 hour decant, but remained on the palate.

No detailed notes, just remebered this pairing well with the asparagus, feta, and basil salad and was a brilliant pairing with the Lamb gyros burgers.

Super enjoybale, but at $130+, I would not repurchase

December 31, 2022 - Slightly sweet, very herbal and terroir-driven; this Cab Franc blend over delivers in many ways although not completely living up to the hype of RP and other ratings. I loved the sage and cedar notes, tannic grip was firm and had very good length for a CA central coast wine. Tastes as if blackberry, blueberry and cherry tree roots were all thrown into an oak barrel and stewed for days; then add buckets of wild flowers and chamomile herbal tea.

December 28, 2022 - Ok and decent enough. Might be in a weird spot. For the tightness I can tell this has some room to improve in the bottle. Although, not much improved after the 2nd day post-open.

June 29, 2022 - Pop and pour into a decanter. In the glass, dark, inky indigo/purple at the rim, nearly impenetrable black at the core. On the nose, blueberries, green peppers, and plum. On the palate, a lot of softness, a little structure, with a slightly sweet attack moderated by vegetal notes, and a long, balanced finish.

November 24, 2021 - Wonderfully rich and deep. In a great spot now. Soft fruit, minor vegetal notes and soft tannins with a long finish. The favorite among a 2014 L’Aventure Optimus and a 2005 Hall Diamond Mt cab served with family.
