August 1, 2022 - Left open for an hour before drinking. Rose, spice, currants and raspberry. Saturated fruit with so,e what suppressed sweet fruit core. Better on its own after opening

February 18, 2018 - Black currant, raspberry jam and tinned raspberries. Relatively pale colour (Grenache). Touch of spice. Smells a little confected, overripe; nice texture, easy style. A bit cloying on the palate. Trying to ape Cotes du Rhône but doesn’t quite pull it off.

August 3, 2017 - So juicy, fragrant, fresh, and inviting. Light and transparent but with serious depth and intensity. Good acidity, sweet, pretty red fruit, noticble tannin, no oak, generous alcohol

February 10, 2017 - 14.5%, blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro. Pop and poured. Very fresh and young, transparent garnet with a slightly purplish tint. Medium bodied, fresh, expressive sweet nose of youth, cherry, raspberry, spices. Very enjoyable daily wine.

February 8, 2017 - Tried at Australian Winter Trade Tasting, then brought partial bottle home.

When I first tried it, it wasn't my favorite among the Torbreck line at the tasting. It was decent, not great. Seemed kind of lightweight. Then I brought a partial bottle home and tried over the next three days or so. I liked it better, perhaps it opened up. Had with several meals, including angel hair pasta with spicy tomato sauce; another night - sauteed chicken. It paired well with all of them. It's a fairly light wine, no complexity to speak of. Checked the pricing on WineSearcher - at $19 to $24 per bottle, seems a bit high for the quality for me, but it might work for you.Try a bottle and see what you think, then let me know with a comment below.
