Community Tasting Notes 2

October 3, 2017 - Deep purple color. Intense aromas of black cherry and toasty hints of espresso. Slightly jammy cherry on the palette and tannins that are a bit overwhelming. Aeration is definitely called for, but only goes so far in taming this one. Still, the complexity of the wine offsets the flaws and makes it worth trying.

January 16, 2017 - This, I did not enjoy. I've loved Joven Riojas in the past for their freshness. This wine had minimal acidity and came off as fairly heavy. The wine had a extracted feel to it and the flavors were of rubber and stewed fruit.
