September 11, 2020 - Firm, classic, cassis filled with a green slant to the herbs, cedar and tobacco leaf nuances. Not quite stoic, but there was an austerity felt here on the mid-palate and finish. I liked the wine, but it was on the rustic side.

December 16, 2019 - Deep, dark reddish-garnet in color with ever-so-slight clearing at the edges. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & cassis with classic overtones of cedar, tobacco & leather, with lovely secondary nuances of floral notes of violets, earthy/dusty, graphite/iron, minerals, dried herbs, eucalyptus/mint, cocoa, spices, minerals & a touch of oak/vanilla. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruits of dark cherries, blackberries and plums with spices, herbs, cocoa, mint, minerals, toasty oak & a hint of vanilla. Long lingering smooth finish. Drinks quite well at present but has the fruit, structure, balance & depth to hold for a few more years although I doubt any further development would occur from additional aging. Quite lively & vibrant at 25 years of age!

December 16, 2019 - 1994 California Cabernet Blind Tasting (Michelangelo Hotel, New York): Dark Morelo cherry. Quite primary still.

March 2, 2018 - took to Jackson Hole, this one bottle wasn't opened, left with Lubo and he texted me the next night saying it was fantastic -- "Amazing SO MUCH LIFE FRUIT + tannin it can go years and will probably be BETTER tomorrow night!!!"... and this is at 8k foot elevation (which dumbs the palate down a bit)

February 28, 2018 - Wednesday night at ES BK. Tasted blind.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour with garnet rim. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of integrated chocolate oak, blackcurrant leaf, blackberries, cedar. Developing.
on the palate, dry, high acidity, medium- alcohol (12.5%), smooth velvety integrated high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of blackcurrant, blackberries, cedar, grilled dark herbs, integrated chocolatey oak. Long finish.
Very good quality. I was guessing late 90s Right Bank Bordeaux here! Because of the plush fruit and smooth palate. In a good drinking window now. Still has at least 7-8 years more of good life.
