    July 6, 2019 - Complex NAPAleon (Mason's house on the harbor): Possibly the greatest bottle of this wine that I have ever tasted, with complementing dense layers of honey, baked quince, and candied ginger held together in a package of perfectly balanced acid.

    March 14, 2018 - Drinking beautifully; a bit deeper, richer and sweeter than a bottle 6-7 years ago; while perhaps not great, just an enjoyable wine in every regard

    January 5, 2018 - Fairly dark color. Nose: B++ Palate: B++/A-
    Tasted blind

    December 20, 2017 - nice sweet wine, that can be choosed with a caramel flan dessert, for ex. will not get any better yet, I believe.

    December 10, 2017 - Wine Flock Intro Retro - Cabs (Jordan's): Served blind. Dark amber color. The nose is ultra sweet -- marmalade, honey and brown sugar. Super thick, rich and sweet. Someone at the table said, "melted golden raisins" and I thought that was pretty good. Not enough cut to support the unctuous fruit. Disappointing bottle.

    (Domaine des Baumard Quarts de Chaume) Hazelnut, butterscotch and kumquat nose; huge concentrated mid-palate of the same flavors as the nose, plus almond; long, minute-plus finish.96+ pts. (Fantastic pairing with the dessert: a hazelnut butter cake and creme anglaise with caramel ice cream and fleur de sel)
