April 15, 2024 - Still solid and beautiful
February 15, 2024 - Medium amber color with lovely aromatics of apricots, honey, and quince. Pleasant acidity and length. Tried over two nights with great pleasure. There is no hurry but this is drinking very well now.
July 8, 2023 - A friend shared this wine. It was excellent; had with "covered" nuts [White & dark chocolate, caramel, etc.]. It was at the end of the 2005-2023 drinking recommendation but probably has a couple of years left.
June 10, 2023 - An incredible treat!
May 17, 2023 - Much darker color than would seem normal, but the wine seems properly aged nonetheless. Wonderful honey and honeysuckle on the nose and some subtle yellow tropical fruits. Delicious right now, but now but be in no rush to drink.
August 16, 2022 - Medium amber color . Complex nose with a range of honey , honeysuckle, and tangerines. Tried over three days and amazing each time we tried it. Later molasses and spices. Lovely dessert wine.
April 21, 2022 - Wine and Food Vacation…Finally!; 4/18/2022-4/21/2022: Half bottle. Deep amber. A beam of pure apricot, quince, and acacia honey. Full but not too sweet or unctuous. Clean tropical fruit, mouth watering acidity, great persistence and length. Superb dessert wine from an underated producer. In fact, this was the wine of the evening despite facing some stiff competition.
November 4, 2021 - Dark brown, pecan, botrytis notes, orange liqueur, orange peel, quite sweet but with good supporting acidity making it light on its feet, slight bitter phenolic finish, really good stuff. Like this vintage, sailed above the '02. DD at Akbar blind--Loire Whites.
July 1, 2021 - Horrific nose of rotten eggs. DNPIM.
July 1, 2021 - Gareth's Magnum Dinner, part 2 (Noize): Strange nose, with enticing notes of fresh apple, toffee apple and spice - and a hint of meths! Didn't let that put me off though. Palate again full of different appley flavours and a nice balance of sweetness and acidity. Coming at the end of a long dinner, I didn't have the chance to give this the full attention it deserved, but it was playful and delicious.
