Community Tasting Notes 12

December 22, 2022 - not bad for the price point. lighter berry notes, refined tannins (a bit thinner than I'd like but still there). soft oak on the nose.

February 14, 2020 - Really simply adequate at best. Particularly for the price. Paid $50 in NYC wine shop. . Bitter blackcurrants and unpleasant spice. Avoid.

January 4, 2019 - a wonderful St. Estephe drinking perfectly right now.

December 25, 2018 - Purchased two bottles as a "box-filler" to get free shipping on other BDX wines.
We get pushed this wine in almost every single restaurant in the close area.
Paired this 2009 vintage with a simple Christmas gourmet meal. Have to say not bad.
I didn't expect much, but it delivered more than what I was expecting.
Not great, won't remember it for very long, but still a well made wine !
For me - strangely enough - already on the decline, so drink up.

October 10, 2017 - The Grand Tour - day nine (Bordeaux): Blackcurrant compote, sweet spice, slightly wet and earthy. Savoury and rocky, fruit a little muted on the palate. Tannins are bold and tight. Hmm.
