August 7, 2023 - Nez complexe de fruits noirs et d'herbes séchées. La bouche est juste un peu trop chaleureuse mais l'ensemble est harmonieux. A boire dès maintenant.
June 29, 2023 - Mainly black but also red fruit, spices and a good amount of tannins. Did open since last year, but still a bit rough around the etches. Nevertheless drinking well.
May 15, 2022 - Blackberries and spices, good density and length. The 2013 is more tannic and less open compared to his 2014 counterpart tried some days ago. Better to give it some 2-3 years of prolonged cellar snooze.
July 12, 2021 - Dark berry fruit and spicy aromas, on the palate very fine and elegant, but with much pressure, some cooling minerality, fine tanni8 ns, biodynamic wine! Maybe even better in some years
July 10, 2021 - At the beginning of its drinking window
October 17, 2020 - Mas Jullien is the quiet star of Languedoc. Not as expressive as Grange des Peres but better balance and more refined - for me. Super nice cool fruit and a huge shot of black pepper. I find this wine as well as other wines from this estate to be super nice with a QPR that beats most. Clearly “southern Rhone” in the fruit but very much “northern Rhone” in the balance.
March 6, 2019 - Old-vines Mourvèdre (40%) planted in poor limestone soils, this cuvee also contains roughly equal proportions of old vine Carignan and Syrah. There are Carignan and Syrah notes of red and black fruits, spice and stone. Very full throttle juice with pure fruit and good structure with well integrated acid and tannin. I like it but don't totally love it. Happy to have 2 left. At $36 I will not be using cellar space for more bottles.
May 9, 2018 - Quick trade tasting note - Beef blood, bold, gravely, rare meat but nice red fruits
February 3, 2018 - 91-92+
Grand vin. Laisse une impression de repli actuellement mais l’ensemble est d’un grand équilibre. Question de temps...
Revoir vers 2023.
