May 10, 2020 - This is great wine, large in structure and with a generous dolop of classy American oak. Big oily lovely vanilla on the attack. The fruit is lemon, limes, fresh apricot and peach. I think it is at its peak, drink now.
Blind one might guess Cali Chard....

October 6, 2017 - Classic honeyed nose, which seemed to acquire more and more oak with time. A little creamy on the palate with some acidity arising on the finish. Easy drinking and not a bad wine, but I am not a fan of blending in Chardonnay, as it dumbs down what makes pure Roussanne sparkle. At this price point, the 2013 Latta Lawrence Roussanne runs circles around this wine.

June 11, 2017 - Interesting and fun wine. Comes off authentically Roussanne, but the 12% chard has a big influence. Iirc this sees big new oak puncheons, which might account for the overall caramel-covered green apple profile I'm getting. Some lemon and nuttiness too. Rich and creamy but balanced.

June 10, 2017 - Decent texture and weight. Just enough acidity to keep it from being too round. However, dominant oak (on the nose and palate) obscures much of the varietal character, so there's little to distinguish this from numerous bottles of Chardonnay.

July 15, 2016 - Another Santa Barbara Trip; 7/15/2016-7/16/2016 (Los Olivos, Santa Barbara): A hint of nuttiness on the nose (oak influence), which shoes some stone fruit, but a little muted. Creamy, but somehow a little thin at the same time; enough acidity to not seem flabby. Might be better with some age.
