September 1, 2019 - Decanted for 30 min in the Big Zalto, then served cooled 16 degrees C., colour brickred, nose dark berries, minerals , taste very seductive and delicious , young but very drinkable, my best Barolo so far this year( heading for Piedmont tomorrow )!

August 18, 2018 - Dark cherry appearance, liqorice, tar, soil, dark plum, bitter dark cherry, rose bush nose. Slow oxed for 3 hours, Very tight through the attack and mid-palate. This is closed down for me now. I would leave this for another 4 years but don’t think it will be the longest lived of wines.

June 2, 2018 - Opened at 2:30, took a small test pour and slow oxed in btl having broke my decanter the day before and needing to replace it soon :). Overall this saw 4 hours plus of slow ox before seriously drinking it with Nita's homemade pizza and our extended family. I nearly put the cork right back in after opening as it was gorgeous upon opening. In fact, about 2 hours in it had even closed a bit but, by dinner time, it was singing again. So I have doubts as to exactly how much air this needs and think PnP may be just fine. Semi translucent ruby red color with slightly orange edges. Perfuse aromas of roses, tobacco, spice, eucalyptus and red fruit. A gorgeous silky harmonious, elegant palate with a ethereal complex range of red fruit, tar, licorice, tobacco, and mineral. I loved this wine tonight! And while the alc is listed at 14% on the label this felt, tasted and smelled more like a subtle 12.5% from climates of yore. 93pts+/94pts- right now, for me. Fine to drink now or hold for further evolution. I'm fortunate to own two more.

March 12, 2018 - Decanted three hours before serving. A delicate, feminine barolo, which is already approachable. On the fragrant nose sweet cherries, menthol, roses and spices. On the palate this is silky, harmonious and of chambollesque elegance. Remarkable bright and ethereal, yet not lightweight or thin. Simply delicious.
