February 6, 2024 - I a good drinking window now. Dark ripe berries, plums, medium acidity, long aftertaste

    April 22, 2023 - Mörk, lite mognadston

Mörka körsbär, lavendel, fat, kaffe, mörk choklad, viol

Kaffe, balanserad frukt/garvsyra stort i munnen.

Vid besök hos Poliziano 230414 var utvecklingen fram till 5-6 år efter vinet släpptes. Kan säkert lagras några år ytterligare.

    January 14, 2023 - Tasted after a 90 minute decant.
Darkish, medium ruby in colour with lovely aromas of sweet black fruit, leather, slightly herbaceous & oaky.
On the palate, medium bodied tart black fruit, black cherry/blackberry, leather, liquorice, well integrated oak, high acidity, medium soft tannins with a long finish to spice & sour black cherry.
There is no apparent garnet rim, the cork was absolutely pristine, & this wine has several more years of cellar potential ahead.

January 5, 2023 - Had a bottle of this wine in October 2016. Wine was way young back then, so have sat on next bottle until now. Good call. Wine is much improved, now very nice. Cherries at the front on the nose. On the palate a very nice combo of dark red fruit, again cherry, but also black currant and blackberries, together with well integrated sweet oak. Acidity still fresh, while well balanced. Now in its window, but I believe this can still go for at least another few years. Will probably hold on to my final bottle until 2025.

October 31, 2022 - Picked this up at the super quaint walled city of Montepulciano whilst driving to Siena in Toscana, Italy.

Cherry greets you on the palate, and there's that sweet oak too. Short dry finish. Tannins are a little gritty, for what's a cool and elegant 2013 Tuscany vintage.

Nobile means this is a wine made primarily from Sangiovese (known locally as Prugnolo gentile, with a minimum content of 70%), blended with Canaiolo Nero (10%–20%) and small amounts of other local varieties such as Mammolo.
