  December 25, 2023 - This is pretty classic cab. Dark fruits, blackberry and currant. Medium+ bodied, very well balanced. It really is very classic, textbook restrained Cab. Still very young and primary. Very nice.

  May 20, 2023 - Classic California, but brooding for a Matthiasson. Dark fruits, cassis, a bit of cocoa, a bit chewy. Holding up a bit better than the 2013 red wine so not rush over the next 5 years or so. Medium finish.

  August 24, 2022 - Dark cherries, graphite, cassis, a bit of cloves, smoke, and spices on the nose. Nice acidity with tannins that have started to soften, flavors of blackberries, black cherries, and tart red plum on the palate. Nice finish. Very well made and balanced wine.

  July 10, 2022 - Drinking beautifully. A lot of dark cherry, some floral notes, a little vanilla. Tannins have smoothed out and still retains a lot of acidity so it drinks very fresh. In a great window now but hard to see how it doesn't go another 5-10+ years easily.
