February 11, 2023 - Plenty of balsamic lift. There's some leather and tar and smoked meats too. It breathes up to show plenty of Indian spice and a dried fruit character. It has a sweet, vinous core and a chewy, savoury finish. Length is very good.

March 27, 2022 - Though fruity-smelling while decanting, this was relatively reticent from the first glass. We checked in this periodically and by 2 hours in the decanter, this had opened nicely, revealing a medium intensity, red cherry nose (the freshness of the fruit somewhat belying its age) accented with baking spices and menthol, broad and interesting. The palate still carries a fresh acidity.

February 26, 2022 - 24 hours bottle decanting, 187 ml into mini bottle for 2 hours then back into origin bottle.

From mini bottle: very transparent ruby color, nice truffle/strawberry/rose/earth/oak nose, light beautiful palate with looooong finish, fabulous.

From origin bottle: darker with fine sediment, more mineral/earth/mushroom nose, firm palate.

Overall an elegant beauty with perfect storage.

October 19, 2021 - This bottle had shown obvious signs of seepage with a small amount of wine visible in the shipping container. I gave it a chance nonetheless. Fully maderized.

June 11, 2021 - BBC Long weekend 2021; 6/11/2021-6/13/2021: amazing mustard weed rose petal floral / herbal nose, ink and tar spice, bright complex but clearly old profile. Bright purple, bizarrely youthful colour. Lovely ripe fruits, still with fine tannins, and good acidity. Some earth, but nothing obviously oxidative.
