December 21, 2023 - Popped and poured with dinner. Needed some air but improved over the evening. Still some life left.

March 27, 2023 - Decanted for an hour before serving, which seemed like a good time to dive in.

CWilliams notes are spot on, Black Cherry, tea, bell pepper (not in a bad way), tobacco on the palate with a long and pleasant finish. The acid is ample (medium++) and the tannins are fine. In a really great spot and overall a well balanced wine. Old world Napa Style.

In its drinking window now, but a well stored bottle should go another 5-10 years without any issue.

November 17, 2021 - From my posting on Instagram:

In Vino Veritas (in wine there is truth; [people speak the truth when they are drunk]), another bottle of my cellar sacrifices. A 2011 Palazzo Napa Red from Scott Palazzo. The capsule tries to give away the fact that it is 68% Merlot, 22% Cab Franc in the rest, Cab. Not rated very highly by RP (only 91) as the 12 & 13, I must say that I was rather unimpressed by it all around. The Winemakers notes read as though I would really like it, but, for me, it didnโ€™t deliver like they said it would. Donโ€™t get me wrong, a good wine, but not a great one. ๐Ÿท๐Ÿท๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ #wine #winelover #winelovers #redblend #redblendwine #palazzo #cabernetsauvignon #napawine #napa #napavalley #napacab #palazzowine #cabernetfranc #merlot

March 2, 2021 - Quite a nice wine but its flavors are still not separating like I would expect. Probably anther wine that needs more time to truly reach its peak. Fruit is still fresh and acidity is nice. It should make it many more years probably peaking in 5-10.

September 7, 2020 - A bottle 1.5 years ago seemed well-integrated and still had fruit. For this bottle, the fruit seems to have faded substantially, with no added secondary characteristics to make up for the missing fruit. It still has clear bordeaux-blend characteristics and was completely serviceable with a NY strip steak.

June 27, 2020 - This was quite delicious, more so than an '07 I had a while back. Delicious dark fruit, some structure, no overt sweetness, very composed and extended. Would seek this out.

June 15, 2020 - Consistent with note from 9/2019 vs. last tasting in 4/2020.

PNP. Black in the glass. Tobacco, black cherry, herbal (bell pepper, not a flaw). On palate, tea, black cherry, tobacco and black currants. Medium+ acidity, medium tannins and long finish. 92+/-

June 6, 2020 - Drank 6/6/20. Very smooth, of standard, Napa red blend. Might have waited too long to drink. Lacked some boldness.

April 5, 2020 - Consistent with my note from 9/2019 - although this bottle tasted and smelled more advanced than the passage of 6 months of time would suggest - very strong bell pepper (not overdone), indicative of the Cab Franc in the wine and I am guessing the cooler vintage. 91+/- today. Have 1 bottle left that I will drink in the next 6-12 months.
