September 24, 2023 - A deep red glass of power. Opened and carafed little over a hour before drinking. Black fruit, cherries and leather in the nose. An taste that lasts and keeps giving. Balance and power supported by solid tannins. It was a joy to drink but a shame to not save for the ages because this vintages has a lot more to give.

July 7, 2023 - A lovely wine, well integrated tannins and a very long, complex finish. Drinking beautifully right now, still quite fresh. While it could keep going at least another 10 years, in no way did I regret opening it now; it doesn’t feel too young.

June 10, 2023 - Red and dark berries as well as spiciness in the bouquet. On the palate good acidity, chocolate and a firm amount of sweetness. Mild tannin and a good length.

    April 12, 2023 - Deep Ruby

    Medium Acidity
    Medium Tannins
    High Alchohol
    Medium (+) Bodied
    Long Finish

    Medium (+) Intensity
    - Cassis, Black Cherry, Black Plum, Fig, Chocolate, Vanilla, Cloves, Black Pepper, Cigar Box, Violet, Cedar

Very expressive nose, perfumed, floral and fruity, not that intense on the palate though, but the flavours are still rich and complex. Ripe black fruits and sweet spice dominant, with a touch of savoury note underneath, tannins are velvety smooth, almost creamy, mouthfeel is round and plush, balanced acidity. Can drink now, but has potential for further ageing.

August 11, 2022 - Best bottle (Weindorf Kirchheim, Waldhorn Laube): Glass: Sophienwald Bordeaux
Popped and poured. Certainly a clear step up from the Artemis. Beautiful spicy nose, pencil shavings, red fruit, very harmonious.
On the palate elegant, silky texture, round, harmonious, no rough edges, but also some pressure and tension. Good length. Will continue to evolve, but I doubt that it will be really great. 92-93+
