April 6, 2019 - Still lively at 16 yrs old. Red fruits still presenting with a bit more tartness that I expected. The coloring is starting to brown, and show it's age more so than the palate. Drank side by side with an '07 St. Emilion, and the rimming was significantly different.

July 31, 2018 - Fully developed and integrated. Still some fruit but not much. Well developed secondary flavors of tobacco, graphite and earth. Color showing lot's of browning. Definitely showing it's age, but still a very pleasing glass of wine.

November 23, 2016 - A nice wine but overall a bit thin with a short finish. Nice red fruit flavor with lots of woody notes.

October 8, 2014 - A very nice wine. Good fruit flavors and lovely nose, but a touch short on the finish. Best with our roast chicken with herbs (rosemary, sage, thyme, sea salt, pepper) spice rub, which improved the wine. Not as good as its Big Brother. It was a good buy at $17 but probably won't rebuy at the current $25 levels. Drink now or age a couple of years more.

April 7, 2009 - Slightly on the big side but loaded with charm. Ready now or could go a few more years since the tannins still have firm grip but kept at bay by lovely fruit and woody notes.

January 2, 2007 - Initially closed this wine opened up after 3-4 hours of air. Nose of dark fruits, cassis and blackberry. Palate of same with toasty oak and some anise. Good backbone of mouth-coating tannins. Will wait a few years before drinking my other bottles.
