July 25, 2023 - Initially theres a funky smell. After aeration for about 2 hours, beautiful bouquet of red fruits, candied plum, mushroom, toast. I will say now I know why Barthod is known as Queen of Chambolle. Realised that her wines are often make to age and this bottle have certainly proof it. Very enjoyable but will not improve anymore. Drink up now.

November 28, 2018 - Classic chambolle but earthy and medicinal with a touch of rusticity. Quite dark and savoury on the palate with herbs, tea and earth. Acidity was pronounced while some tertiary character has started to show. 90-91

July 14, 2017 - Visite au Domaine Louis Boillot (Chambolle-Musigny): Beau nez floral et très fin. Des tanins élégants, avec de belles saveurs de des petits fruits rouges des champs. Je le croyais beaucoup plus jeune. Superbe!

La bouche est très élégante et de superbe fraîcheur, quoique pas la plus profonde. Petite amertume en finale, qui semble indiquer des tanins pas parfaitement mûrs. 90 pts -

January 21, 2013 - Le Millésime 1993 en Bourgogne: Vingt ans plus tard (Restaurant L'Atelier (Montréal)): Un vin complet, séducteur et soyeux, que j’ai trouvé plus accessible que la plupart des autres vins de la Côte de Nuits, sur les épices douces, l’encens, et les fruits rouges.
