March 20, 2016 - Note: I use a rating scale for which 85 represents a very good wine.

This bottle was "back on top of its game" compared to the one I had last month. Rich without being overdone, fruit still present. Nice finish. Regardless, drink up!

A bit past its prime, even for me who likes some age on his W. Burgundies. Probelay not to everyone's liking, but to bad for. Dark yellow, probably a bit oxidized.

    Drink up.

October 25, 2015 - Good bottle of w. Burgundy. It was not passed its prime, but I see no reason to hold. Good balance. A little sharp, but far from too sharp. By bottle's end I regretted that it was over.

January 1, 2015 - Forceful wine. Still some oak evident on the nose, along with savoury notes. A hint of oxidation. Rather concentrated palate. Very good condition.

August 30, 2014 - Fruity nose, quite sweet. Soft and well bodied

Burgundy-Report

(Colin Philippe Chassagne-Montrachet Les Chaumées) Drunk following the Chassagne of Amiot. Medium-yellow. The nose is a little richer and deeper, backed by some sweet oak. The palate also shows a richer edge and is very long. The acidity is just a little more forward and steely in presentation - perhaps helps push the finish. Very tasty, not the perfect balance of the Amiot but all the same, a very good buy.
