June 21, 2020 - Went down to the cellar and just pulled a bottle, randomly. I find that if I go down, and 'consider' things, I'm down there forever, with the same old routine of shaking my head and uttering to myself 'not ready'. Well, this is, and isn't ready. If you like broad shouldered red/dark red fruits, sinewy textures, and a finish that envelops the tongue, this is your wine. That said, it'll be 'my wine', too, but not until another 5-7 years of rest. Which is to say a few things - this must have been quite the wine on release, and what a brilliant wine this will be when it's at peak maturity (for my palate); no sign of tertiary notes at present. Should drink thru 2030, at least. A delicious beast that will become a prince with some add'l patience. PnP; avg sediment, great fill/cork, medium ruby hue. highly recommended

The best of the 3 bottles I've opened in the past 3 years.

October 2, 2019 - Two bottles brought to a London restaurant where we paid a modest corkage fee. Really enjoyed this wine. Lots of life left in it; muted nose but sweet jammy fruit on the palate, beautifully balanced and fairly long finish. I have eight bottles left from the case and don’t feel in a huge rush to finish.

January 11, 2019 - Auction purchase. Corks remain solid/tight. PnP and drank over three hours . Better with a bit of air andthe alcohol noted in last note is less of an issue. A hint of tomato, black cherry, pretty good tannin. Better with more air? Not sure where this is going. What's the oak tx? Barrique?

December 24, 2018 - kerstdiner. Needs caraffing, 2-3 hours, developing into the next day. Earthy, lots of black fruit.

November 16, 2018 - Aged perfectly. Earthy with good fruit balance. As it opened it became soft and velvety, but with good length. A very pleasant drink
