October 27, 2018 - Ruby to light crimson, medium legs, more rim variation than vintage would typically display. Below medium legs. Aromas are subtle, lighter red fruits; cranberry, strawberry, raspberry. Just hints of mushroom and light toast. On the palate, hints cinnamon and clove arise with red fruits remaining. Light to medium body, medium acidity. Narrow texture, medium acidity, medium finish. Impression: not your typical out-there, big Nebbiolo. Understated, but because of the subtlety it has a complexity and balance that drew me back. Impressions same on Days 1 & 2. A pleasant effort. At $31, QPR is below average. Drink now.
