April 19, 2021 - Very mature, garnet color. Heady nose with baked cherries and rosemary. Full-bodied, this is strewy and big with only a hint of show polish. It's actually in fine shape, I've just grown not to love Brunello. Most would love this! 91

April 4, 2021 - Delicious. At peak. A big red with lots of layer of flavor. So smooth, luscious, and a very pretty nose. Great now or continue to hold.

December 13, 2020 - This is no wide-ranging 92. This is not a wide-ranging wine. At this stage in its life, it is a fabulous wine to pair with an American steak. The concentration is reminiscent of Chateauneuf du Pape. It's a powerhouse that reminds me of no other Italian wine, at least none made with traditional Italian grapes. I would not presume this to be an Italian wine, although a friend with me claimed she inhaled the scent of soft herbs. Not me. It's the biggest Brunello of my life, and a wonderful one. But please, don't pair it with pasta.

May 13, 2020 - really quite a nice wine - big almost overwhelming but with some character and complexity - not sure there is any rush to drink this

March 23, 2019 - Anise, plum, some dark cherry, tannins and acidity. Rustic but still enough fruit, acidity that it’s very good with a big steak. For 18 years old, terrific.
