April 23, 2019 - Intriguing nose of blueberry, spices and a touch of pepper. A touch above medium bodied, ripe fruit mixed with a streak of gravel and dried herb that gives real interest and persistence on the midpalate, chalky tannins, discreet seam of acid folded in. Perhaps a touch of heat on the finish.

May 18, 2017 - more funk and a bit of grippy cherry alcohol whack, prominent hit of acid than W9. Same same but grippy acid finish 90

January 15, 2017 - Hunter Valley - 4 Cellar Doors (Hunter Valley): {screwcap, 14%, A$50} Beautiful blueberry fruit. Exotic spice too. Despite the obviously ripe fruit, the palate is savoury and rent with medium dusty tannins. The oak is only low/medium in presence; the wine tends to medium/full-bodied but largely because the balance is so impeccable. Even palate, medium/long finish. A 15-year wine easily.

December 5, 2016 - From the 10/10 2014 vintage: Lots of berries particularly on the nose, with great finesse and complexity on the palate. It's light but still tantalises with cherries, blackcurrants, plum and vanilla. In the background hint some earthy and oak driven notes. Tannins are smooth and the finish generous. Looking forward to seeing how this goes in future
