November 8, 2020 - One hour in the decanter. Quite open from the start: roses, iron and a pinch of cummin and spices. Earthy appearance without being austere. In the mouth very balanced. Do not detect the heat mentioned below by others. Very well made wine but the length does not match the wine. 2 hours later the wine holds up well but has not gained length. A great cru and a decent vintage. But not a five star producer. Not yet at least. At 24 euros however this a great Barolo. The Annunziata cru gave me expectations not quite matched. Two bottles left in my cellar. No hurry to drink.

October 15, 2020 - A rather basic and one dimensional Barolo showing red fruits, minerals, some flowers and too much sweetness that is related to the warm vintage and a bit too much alcohol.

July 7, 2020 - A bit simple Barolo. Got better ones that night and the next...

May 18, 2020 - Light, translucent clear garnet (the colour of traditional Nebbiolo gets me every time).

Nose is quite simple - a good dose of red cherry with a hint of roses, and the palate follows in much the same way, plenty of refreshing acidity and a good menthol kick to finish. The tannins are very grippy, reminding you that even though this is great value, it is also quite serious.

QPR outstanding for a Rocche MGA.

May 11, 2020 - Our first Barolo. Immediate tang on the back of the tongue but smooths out very quickly. Nice flavors. 2nd day opened up even nicer. Gets better with each sip. !st day 92, 2nd 94
