November 24, 2021 - A perfect amount of age. Beautifully balanced fruit, with acidity still lingering - a bit calmer than upon release but still worthy of praise.

December 12, 2020 - I am an avowed hater of Sauvignon Blanc. That said, I love the wines Dan Petroski makes at Massican. Overall I almost like this wine. It does not have the aggressive green notes that I despise in Sauvignon, but it’s still rather astringent on the palate. The fresh acidity, and depth of herbal flavor are very good. Interesting to drink, but still not quite my thing. I will stick with his Hyde Chardonnay which I love, as well as his outstanding white blends.

December 15, 2019 - Ruby grapefruit, just a little grassy. Blind I would have guessed NZ. It’s very good, even a little leesy but not as good as the ratings here suggest

    November 27, 2019 - Pale straw.
Fresh. Varietal. Mineral and tropical and grass.
    Palate is chalky and mineral.
    Marvelous example of California Sauvignon.

June 11, 2019 - This wine has developed impressively in the 20 months since I tasted it last (10/17 - 91 points), managing to shed some of the harshness and gain a more solid core. Clear in color and light in body, the wine offers the same zingy aromas of green apple, wet grass, and salt water. The tastes are not unctuous, but they are more round, with notes of grapefruit, lime, and crushed rocks, with a bright, biting finish. 13.4% alcohol.

This is an incredible value at $30, and it's clear that, for this vintage at least, the tightness is a feature, not a bug. Although I would prefer a bit more meat on the bones, this is refreshing and complex. Drink in next year or two.
