June 10, 2023 - PnP & was pleasantly surprised. Rich dark berry fruit, nicely integrated tannins, balanced acidity, medium finish. Wish I had more.
May 21, 2023 - Beat out a 2015 Darioush in the blind side by side tasting.
April 17, 2023 - Good that this is my last/only bottle of this as it seems on the back side of its best drinking window. Still pleasant enough. Balanced acidity with black plum/date fruitiness, black pepper, maybe some black tea and wood smoke. Better after aerating for an hour or so. Has a nice, lingering finish and good mouth feel.
April 29, 2022 - Rich, dark berry fruit flavors upfront on the nose and palate. Evenly integrated tannins giving a savory mouthfeel. Nicely balanced acidity throughout with a medium to long finish. Well paired with a roast beef dinner.
April 11, 2022 - Opened up nicely after decanting. Wish I had more
April 1, 2022 - Tepid. Should have drank earlier. Not bad though
December 30, 2021 - Peaking right now...deep rich chocolate and cherry, very well balanced oak. Back if the tongue taste of butter vegetable root that doesn't add to the palate but provides a solid contrast. Paired amazingly with a NY Strip
December 20, 2021 - Came across some bottles at a local store on close-out for $39. Dark ruby fruit - blackberry, currants, dark cherry, and some plum. Smooth mid-palate but a lighter profile than expected - medium body. Flavors of dark berries, some spice, and cassis; however, the flavors were fairly light/subtle. Decent finish but not overly long nor deep. Decanted for one hour and drank over a couple more. Not much improvement with time. Drank next to the 2018 vintage which was quite a bit better - bigger/fuller fruit and more expressive. Still an enjoyable wine but if tasted blind I would have bet the 2014 was an even older vintage that faded with time - probably the reason it’s on close-out.
August 15, 2021 - Great color and berry, maybe licorice notes?
June 30, 2021 - Decent cab, nothing special. Drinking a bit hot. Good with steak.
