June 15, 2021 - Opened, tasted and slow-oxed 75 minutes prior to dinner in BDX glasses. Semi opaque ruby red color. Smoked meat, berries & underbrush on the nose. First sips showed some prickly acidity but soon calmed & resolved. Focused semi light wgt earthy red fruit, meat, pepper & other savory notes. Classic NR aromas & flavors on a svelte palate. 12.5% Solid value at the $25 I paid.

    December 16, 2019 - Tasted over 2 hrs
    -saturated purple red
-cracked black pepper ripe dark berry
-med acidity, med+ weight earthy mineral base trimmed in bit of dark berry, tight racy peppery finish with med tannins
-all syrah, comes across somewhat lean and not very generous

June 9, 2019 - Opened, tasted and slow oxed for about 90 minutes prior to dinner in Riedel BDX glasses. Decant wouldn't be a bad idea. Semi opaque ruby red color. Terrific aromas of pepper and earthy berries. Precise and intense earthy red fruit, meat, pepper and other savory notes. The structure, purity and character you hope for from the NR. Concentrated but relatively weightless for syrah. This totally kicks but for just $25 and worked especially well with food. Balanced and smooth enough at this early stage but a couple more years surely won't hurt. 12.5 % Alc. 91pts+ Very tasty!

March 3, 2019 - Au nez on sent les fruits noirs, la viande fumée et une impression de fraicheur. La bouche est ample, fraiche, un peu rustique, assez équilibré mais trop acide, déception pour ma part à ce prix.

January 12, 2019 - Initially, a bit lactic in the nose (something I often find in young Syrah). With a bit of air, it blew off to reveal a surprisingly soft and forward Syrah with some peppery character to it. Not a wine for long aging, I'd drink in the next 2-3 years.
