December 22, 2020 - Pretty big wine, but that’s expected at this stage. Not overly tannic so my suspicion is that it may not cellar as well as it’s more lofty brethren. That said, this had a lot of dark fruit forward, a very quick journey through some mineralogy in mid palate, and a finish that, while not over long, was smooth and polished. Missing a bit of oak on the front end that is typical of this appellation, but that maybe is something that helps retrain it from being over the top for a style that hints at new world almost more than old. I expect this will change over the hours.

December 17, 2020 - Drank blind with the X-men last nite. I opened/decanted the night before last, and finished the bottle last nite with the group. First nite: Quite tannic, lots of ripe black and red fruit, pungent floral nose. Over time, the wine warmed & calmed quite a bit, showing wonderful complexity and structure. Plenty of fruit and spice here, with some muscular structure & power behind it. Leather, smoke, forest floor, earth as well, with a very pleasant, long finish (altho with some bitterness at the back end). 2nd nite: Fruit still very much apparent, but tertiary elements more evident. Earth, forest floor, mushrooms, leather, espresso and chocolate. Also, I detected chalkiness which wasn't there the nite before. (Il Prof tasted gravel, with which I agree). Overall, this was a very yummy, elegant, supple, complex and structured wine that is showing fabulously right now. Everyone loved it, tho only a few guessed it as a right bank bdx. A prime example of what St. Emilion is capable of in a great vintage such as 2015, and at a relative bargain price. Buy more if possible, and hold for 5-10 years. Decant too.

November 27, 2020 - Impressive but needs more time to sit. Powerful and tannic. This will be a beauty in a couple years

October 19, 2020 - Modern style. Still hot, tannic, and backwards, give it until at least 2025 to come together.

October 19, 2020 - Decanted it, but it probably didn't need it... Lovely.
