September 11, 2023 - Popped and poured. Solid, full yellow. Has exactly the nose you look for in a top German Riesling: petrol, lanolin, apples, tropical fruit; all it lacks is a wisp of smoke. But this just exudes freshness and life. Kicks ass in the mouth, too. Both light on its feet yet mouth filling with rich, luxuriant fruit, it seems to linger forever on the finish. This is not even close to declining, heck, it may not even have peaked yet. Feels like it could last forever. 5-14-18-9: 96/100.

August 16, 2023 - I'm not sure this has massive evolved from my last note, but the intensity and expansiveness of the palate is certainly more evident. The lime cordial has taken on some tropicality - think key lime - and the mineral bass feels stonier. Extremely long finish with floral and tea notes, this one will be with us a very long time.

September 7, 2022 - Peach and something sweet and plasticky on the nose. On the palate, white apple, grapefruit citrus, peach, and notes of lime and lemon on the medium to long finish, with noticeable sweetness balanced by strong acidity. This was an excellent value at a little over $40.

February 16, 2022 - Floral with bruised apple notes. A touch muted. Not getting the energy I would hope from this wine in this vintage. Good but had higher expectations.

September 1, 2021 - The perfumed nose burst from the glass with sweet orchard fruits and fragrant florality, making this hard to take away from your nose. The palate was rich with ripe apples and tropical mango that finished with a spicy note and nice grip.
The sweetness seemed to be a bit elevated at this particular moment, but overall a delicious wine that will evolve into something quite wonderful.

August 20, 2021 - Superb. Lemon, peach, honeysuckle on nose - rich and fragrant, akin to Alsatian Riesling. Palate matches that with tension and precision. Feels like room for improvement; interesting to see how it ages.

January 26, 2020 - The piercing intensity of lime cordial, which explodes into fragrant, floral orchards of stone fruits. A line of spice throughout keeps everything in harmony, balancing the pinging acid and residual sugar. So much going on and it's just a baby. This is one that will be around for decades. Delicious and great value.

October 15, 2019 - Lemon-yellow; nose has a bit of matchstick, slight petrol; palate is medium bodied, peach, white floral, intense but not sharp medium-plus acidity, medium alcohol, tangy citrus through the midpalate; finish is medium length, slightly shorter than the palate made me expect, though I do get some tangy citrus acidity even after the obvious flavors have disappeared. I think the nose will open up with a bit of air, but overall I agree with my previous bottle that this is more a wine of balance and depth rather than showy intensity. 91-92
2 hours in bottle: the nose does open up a bit, but the palate is where the highlights are. Lovely tangy citrus throughout the finish now.
Day 2: Still has tangy citrus and enjoyable, but also seems like it lost a bit of something from yesterday.

October 15, 2019 - A great balance of fruit and spice. Agree with notes of apples and peaches. A little young and not showing much secondary characteristics, but I am sure with time, they will come out. Quite delicious at this stage.

July 26, 2019 - Coravin. Pale yellow-gold; medium intensity aromatics, exceptionally well integrated and balanced combination of petrol, slate, Key lime; palate is medium bodied with slight oily texture throughout, medium acidity which provides a bit of mouthwatering component especially through the midpalate, white stone fruit, medium alcohol (8.5%); medium finish with a slight tartness. What this wine lacks in intensity it more than makes up in balance, depth, and complexity. 92-93
